The Beatnik Bandit is a true Hot Rod icon from the late Big Daddy Roth's inner cranium and it has a place in everyone's collection. It would probably be okay if the engine wasn't so oversized. Because of that, I've never liked this casting. Take that BIG engine out, put a hood on it, OR put a regular size engine in it, and I would be all for it.

If the same thing, (for example blue paint) is offered every time, isn't that a form of "steering" the final outcome especially since it seems that given that choice it will win the vast majority of the time?

My personal belief is that a color should never be offered in a sELECTIONs round if it has already won during that year. Mattel doesn't offer the SAME casting each time so they shouldnt offer the SAME color either.

We don't. Once a specific Spectraflame shade has been used in sELECTIONs within a given year, it isn't offered again within that year. That doesn't necessarily preclude other shades of the same basic color.

Look, a couple of years ago, everyone got happy with the shades of blue. We had, what, an Ice blue, an Aqua, a Light Blue (which, if I recall correctly, was mis-termed and turned out to be Ice Blue - but that was unintentional), and a Race Team Blue car? All different shades, but basically blue. And then we also had an orange car, right? We had five cars that year...

Happened ONCE. It's just an oddity. Hasn't happened since. It's done. That trend is gone. Please go back to arguing about the wheels...

OBVIOUSLY, blue is the favorite/most popular/best color, and you should offer it constantly. Despite what Staffer said about opinions and there being no right or wrong, Blue is RIGHT!

Voted for the Gremlin, I know we got one last year... This is the only casting I will buy; none of the other 7 choices did anything for me. I do like old redlines, but the choices here were not that impressive in my opinion. And who knows if they will end up with redlines anyway? Judging from past sELECTIONs cars it is quite likely it will have Real Riders.

So how will the bandit look in blue with real rider tires? I think I'll save my $15 and check out pics from someone else...
