BARRY: "She's the last of the Blue Real Riders! You can shut the gate on this one. It's the duck's guts! Yeah, she's the last of the Blue Real Riders. Spectraflame paint, special deco, limited edition..." GOOSE: "Tell him about the wheels—" BARRY: "Real Riders, man! Rubber on the road! She's meanness put to music and the bitch is born to run!" GOOSE: "He's in a coma, man! He loves it!" MAX: "How the hell did you get this all together?" BARRY: "It just happened, Max, you know? A vote from here and a vote from there..." MAX: "That easy?" GOOSE: "Come on, Max. You've seen it, you've held it, and you're still asking questions?" MAX: Pauses, and starts to smile. "When do we tear open the blister!?" |

After all of the complaining about BLUE REAL RIDERS, you'd think that this car could have at least been a different color since it's not going to wear Neo's. It's the little things like this that make me think that Mattel just doesn't get it. |

It's gotta be Blue, but it could have been in the Neos. Then again, it would just take up another Neo slot, so does it really matter? I do see the irony though in Blue w/ RRs... that's why I came here, to see who made a comment on it being blue with RRs already. ![]() |

Yea! I finally get to save some money this year. A blue Real Riders Mustang, I can't think of a car I want less than this one. "Thanks For Noticing Me" - Eeyore ![]() |

They've been giving us a blue deco every year. Personally, I believe we now have a newer series all its own. Yes, it is a blue RR which I am tired of also, but this piece has some uniqueness going for it. The trouble with Blue & RR's is with the members voting that way 100% of the time whenever blue paint & RR wheels are offered in the sELECTIONs series. It's the LAME members, not Mattel that have made blue & RR's a negative. ![]() |

I agree with the above, buying just for the points isn't reason enough anymore.

If there never was another blue with RR release, most of the membership would not miss them. That bridge was burned with the six-straight in sELECTIONs. The car would have sold better if it had a prototypical deco scheme and either RSWs or more appropriate RR wheels such as the five-slots — instead of the atypical thin-tire tuner RR wheels. If it doesn't sell out, the fact that it is a Mustang from the '60s would be a strong indicator that the deco/RR choices were a detriment. I doubt that there are more than 10,000 pieces in the run. Note: There were 7,897 made. |

Not to worry. It will soon join the growing list of Blue Real Riders that are for sale in the shop. You would have thought that SOMEONE at Mattel would have known better. That paint and those wheels combine to create another loser. BLUE BONE SHAKER And now the lastest victim: THE sELECTIONs MUSTANG Lose the stupid rubberband tires and the scale 30" ghetto wheels, get rid of all the blue paint you have in stock, hire SOMEONE with an imagination and HOPEFULLY return this club to what it used to be years ago. |
