Custom Oddo Crystal Cobra to be auctioned in December
BlueRealRiders.com has narrowed the timeframe for the Club's intent to put the famous Custom Oddo up for sale. The car was created to commemorate 25 years of Real Riders® wheels, kicking off a year-long celebration! The Real Riders® Silver Anniversary festivities culminate at the end of 2008 when this unique custom car is placed for auction to benefit Glass For Streeters! Stay 'Tooned for details!
Department of Hotwheels Security® Four-car Series
While it's a little slow in coming to the flooded regions in the Midwest, the Blue Real Riders® Club is honoring the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina by rolling out our Limited Edition FEMA Van!
Since demand from BRR Club members has reached a fever pitch, for the entire month of September we'll be hosting a Back To Cool celebration! We're getting the party started with a free event open to the public, returning to New Orleans, LA, the site of the 2005 event that killed nearly 1500 people! Featured activities in "NOLA" include a boat show and performances by the '80s Pop Rock musical group Katrina & The Waves!
Collectors will also be able to pick up the other three cars in our new Department of Hotwheels Security® Series!
BRR Club Weevil Exterminated
We had been planning for quite some time to offer, as a Blue Real Riders® Club exclusive edition, one of the most popular castings from the Redline Era— the Evil Weevil. But just as we started production, the HWC.com people offered a Weevil of their own!
It was at that point we started exploring options to make this right since the Blue Real Riders® Evil Weevil had already been publicized.
We can tell you this will most likely not be a "from the ground up" re-tool. However, we're looking at making some modifications to another existing Evil Weevil tool, (formerly in Ultra Hots) that will allow us to call the car a Blue Real Riders® Evil Weevil.
A perfect solution? Nope. But hopefully an acceptable one. If nothing else, it will be a version of the Evil Weevil which hasn't existed before.
After all, if the Red Line Club can pull a "bait–and–switch", then so can we.
