PLAYINGMANTIS RLC™# 15826 I responded to Rex Monaco's post on how reproductions hold no value to him. I thought what he was saying contradicted what many of us here wanted to see. I did not agree with Rex and now for whatever reason, I'm the bad guy (narrow-minded, it seems) just because I would like to add REPLICAS of original castings to my collection. I have always wanted to see a mix of old and new... but I would never claim that the older stuff holds NO value to me. nomad200 RLC™# 47901 Wow, it looks like Rex really had a heavy dose of the Kool-aid® recently. I can't believe his logic. I truly think that Mattel could put a limited sticker on a totally plastic car and Rex would buy it because of the sticker. armataz RLC™# 1903 Yeah, C-rex does drink the Kool-aid®... not because he gives a darn which side he is on, but because he knows that its easier to stir stuff up if he plays the brown-noser. quantum RLC™# 34272 I hate to say this, but with the exception of me and perhaps Photoshop Boy here, Rex plays you guys like a rented fiddle. Remember his thread where he wanted the Sharkruiser and other fantasy cars in the RLC? That was pure trap. And this latest fiasco sounds like more of the same. Ways I sees it, you can either play along in his thread or start one of your own that will get under his skin. But you have to be subtle; death by a thousand cuts, not beheading. Not the actual words but the acronym. I swear that I've seen that used before without any problems. WTF indeed! The funny thing is that my post was one of the tamest/lamest that I've done in protest of a Mattel F U C K up. Oh well, I've got relatives in town until Monday. I believe right now they're trying to set an example because someone straight out used FU to address Mattel and its attitude towards us... quantum and crum_a just got hit with the backlash. I think they were talking about Hot Wheels' all-new suspension design. They are calling it a Functional Underspring, or FU. It is supposed to help the Torsion-Bar Suspension be more flexible while taking a pounding, without the need for lubricant or bearings. 36ford RLC™# 16448 I guess we'll all be joining you soon.
