I have nothing against you personally. This is about keeping the Forums flowing smoothly.

This image basically says... "I'm moderated"... "I'm locked up"... "My ID is in mod jail"... People will see that and start talking about it or firing up a "Free NSPO revolution"...

I think he overestimates my influence! Although a "Free nspo" revolution sounds both fun AND interesting... Vive la revolucion!

DARTH ROGER: Your postings are WEAK, old man...

OBI-TOM: You can't win, Darth. If you moderate me, I shall become more powerful than you can ever imagine.

PLAYINGMANTIS has been red-flagged for voicing his opinion about the Purple Passion® Woodie.

Banned from the boards— as in, permanently.

This place is like in-school suspension. I wonder if they keep "rap sheets" on all of us in a filing cabinet in El Segundo. They probably even have a board with Most Wanted posters like at the Post Office, or maybe a deck of cards like they did for the troops during the early stages in Iraq.

No need to wonder, because they DO keep rap sheets on everyone that has been moderated and they are extremely detailed.

I currently have two thorns in my butt, Tinkerbell & Rex, but I think I got the upper hand and spanked them both pretty good... Neither will respond to my PM's to them. Both questioned my education and if I really was a teacher... I kept it clean by only calling them "idiots". Tinkerbell complained to HWC Chris, and Chris suspended me for 7 (whoopee) days.

But Rex has called me the slow kid, drunken little troll, petty little man, mental capacity of a baby monkey, and that was all in one long PM.

Glad to be here.

It's getting old... paying customers ought to be allowed to voice our displeasure and the fact that they've begun resorting to Draconian levels of outright censorship is both disgusting and revealing. I don't see things getting better any time soon.

There is an internal fight going on to wrestle control of this club away from the marketing team. They were shown some of my unflattering posts and told, "You see, you guys are missing the mark and this guy's not alone in his disenchantment." All I have done is get myself booted, BUT in the process I got someone's attention and there's some serious finger-pointing going on in that boardroom, the heat is on. It is also a pressure cooker of sorts because the general consensus is that if they don't turn this thing around, 2010 could be its swan song.

quantum  RLC™# 34272

How did you find this out? Reliable source?

armataz  RLC™# 1903

LOL... the same place I did. We (all of us) have a few allies within Mattel that do not like what's been happening with the club since Marketing has taken it over, and they are trying to do something about it.

bbussey  RLC™# 348

Unfortunately, as some of us have discovered - while we do have allies and like-minded individuals under Mattel's employ, there may not be enough of them to make a difference unless this year totally bottoms out.

Marketing said that I was "sabotaging and undermining" sales by brainwashing the membership.

Someone looked at me as being a leader of the disgruntled, and hopes now that I'm gone sales will skyrocket. It seems they think that everyone was happy to purchase everything until I suggested that all is not as it appears.

As for the rest of you unappreciative disgrutled pirates, hijacking threads by voicing your displeasure with the spectacular works of art that our marketing team has worked so hard to offer you, a word to the wise. Be careful what you say or you'll be next.

If they really wanted to turn this place around they could, but as long as there's no one willing to call them out they don't feel the need to. If by killing MANTIS they quiet others, that's a step in the right direction as far as they're concerned.

armataz  RLC™# 1903

I just received an e-mail from PLAYINGMANTIS informing me that his account is terminated-- totally locked out. He can no longer even play in PM's on this site.

scott386  RLC™# 31282

That sucks... Guess he'll have to think of another name.

armataz  RLC™# 1903

Won't matter... they probably have his IP blocked so he won't even be able to log in as a casual viewer (guest).

36ford  RLC™# 16448

I am simply astonished to what lengths they will go to to keep people quiet.

I'm thinking there must be a reason behind this latest routing of dissenters. MUST be low sales, and as was stated at length a while ago, instead of looking inward at why sales are low, they found themselves some scapegoats, certain people who tell the truth and apparently have ultimate power over collectors' buying habits. Looks like they don't want any dissent on these boards.

So what happens when all the dissenters are gone and sales DON'T skyrocket?

redryder31  RLC™# 22294

I agree with the low sales sentiment. Since they must find a reason and it can't be the cars, then the blame MUST lay with those "negative" members, those "naysayers" that always criticize the product.

bbussey  RLC™# 348

The irony in all this is that during the first two years - before the RR segment was established - they were selling 10,000 of each HWC Series car on average. Now they are fortunate if they sell 5,000. And yet, their thinking is the club couldn't survive as a Neos-dominant venue. Of course, the old-schoolers aren't coming back even if they WERE to return to being a Neos-dominant venue at this point...

armataz  RLC™# 1903

They planned on using him as an example... instead they gave us a martyr. They believed he had power to bring down the site before? They just encouraged us to change our tactics to be within the site's guidelines and they also gave us a point of reference as to where to draw the line. Now they have shown us how to continue the fight.
