Since its creation in 1976, the Neet Streeter™ has never come with windows or rubber tires.

You can change that.

Uh, the 442 is NOT an X-body or "X-car". The only relationship that car had with the Citation was that they were both made by GM. The '78 to '80 Cutlass hatchback was a G-Body.

I got an orange one when I was 13. Loved it, still have it. Somehow I always liked that odd bodystyle too, though I usually don't dig hatches. If they brought it back I'd want it Spectraflame for the very first time.

Oh, and Pokey's right, it's a G-Body. The X-Body was the Olds Omega, Chevy Citation, Buick Skylark, Pontiac Phoenix, etc., replacing the Nova-type cars in 1980. The Flat Out I believe was based on a '78.

Yes indeed! The X-cars were front wheel drive, transverse-engined, and had unit body construction. The 442/Cutlass was a rear wheel drive model with body-on-frame construction. The fastback bodystyle was not a hatchback; it had a conventional trunk. This was the "intermediate" chassis shared with the Malibu, LeMans, Regal, etc.

Later, the X-cars were given longer front and rear overhangs and turned into cars like the Chevy Celebrity, Pontiac 6000, Olds Ciera, and Buick Century.

I always liked the Flat-out 442 too. The period from about 1978 to 1984 produced some really great Hot Wheels.
